Chocolate, Pumpkin Seeds and Brain Health.

ree

These shelled pumpkin seeds are flat green, oval and tiny. Don't be fooled by their size! They carry immense health benefits (antioxidants, iron, zinc and magnesium) We now know that zinc strengthens the immune system, boosts energy levels and prevents cell damage due to its high antioxidant levels. Zinc is directly associated with several hormones, including testosterone, estrogen, thyroid hormones and insulin — the hormone responsible for balancing your blood sugar levels.

Consumption of Dark Chocolate releases Phenethylamine, a chemical that helps boost the happy hormone in the body. Cacao in Dark Chocolate retains the naturally occurring chemical called Flavonoids. This helps maintain normal functioning of the brain by dilating blood vessels allowing a larger blood flow to the brain. This way, the brain fights off exhaustion, insomnia and aging, improving memory and learning.
